I picked up an MGB motor over the weekend minus carbs and intake.
Looking for cheap pair of SU's if any of you guys have them lying about.

Managed to snag a Weber setup cheap from a old MG friend.

You just missed our annual Brit car swap meet yesterday. Could have looked for you. The Weber conversion bits work well too, if you can find them. Just watch the mounting flange thickness and match that with the exhaust manifold flange.

HIF4's would work. Do you have carbs and intake or just carbs?

I have carbs & intake. A few pieces (couplers between carbs) may be missing. The one dash pot had a broken tab for screw down that I JB welded back on. They were not stored well- came with my MGB motor. I upgraded to H6's prepped for racing. I know they are too much carb for my motor but I will try them anyway. I can send you photos of the HIF4s.

DCOE or DGV? A DCOE set up will probably work better with the Cateringvan bonnet compared to SU's, but unless you're going for an all out race motor, performance gains are negligible. In any case, good score on getting a cheap Weber.

DGEV 38/38

He had a DCOE setup, but we couldn't quite come to terms on it.
