1997 J1 roadster Lotus 7ish look $12,500
Prototype vehicle built in the mid 90’s by two retired GM engineers planning on mass producing but one died before the dream could be realized. The only one produced.
Car has a CA SB100, issued in 2005, and a CA issued VIN plate, which means the car can go back to California, with no issues. Has a clear Florida title.
Car is aluminum bodied, nose and fenders are steel, powered by a 2.0 Pinto engine, 4 spd manual, Custom built chassis, and body, hand built, this is one of one. Cantilever front suspension like formula 1 cars and has a De Dion rear end with electric adjustable height. Fold down windshield. Pinto Beans 2000cc Pinto Adjustable Cam Timing Sprocket, electric fuel pump, custom alum valve cover.
I bought it after the previous owner had disassembled it to repaint. He decided at 80 years old, and having a large classic car collection, he would never get around to completing the project. I have set the car up to look like a ventage race car. Car runs and drives fine, I replaced a leaking water pump, and old alternator belt, new tach, Brookland wind screens, Quick release wheel hub, quick jacks front and rear, rollbar, mirrors, headrest, have all 5 original wire wheels, but they need new tires, the panasport rims and tires have good tread. Have all the parts to put it back in original condition. Fun car to drive.
Have a short video driving it on Facebook marketplace, in MIAMI, under LOTUS,
