I consider Fay a good friend and visited her a few months ago...I texted her successfully yesterday. I think that you are mistaken about the Fay part.
As another Fay fan, I am glad to hear that!

s2europa, where did you hear the Bad news? I like kreb's Good news better.

Did y'all miss me? My internet has been down for literally a few hours less than a full week. And my electricity had been down for four days, beginning the evening of last Saturday, January 13.

We had a spectacular ice storm, with an alleged (more like a guessed, from the harried receptionist at the local Chamber of Commerce) million dollars' worth of tree damage in the city limits of Creswell, trees were blowing up all night long for a few nights, until they ran out of trees, I guess. And it was cooold, it made me glad I married one of those warm wives, unlike those cold nasty wives they show on daytime television...which I didn't have either, since that comes in over WiFi too.

From Midwest standards, this has been a normal January week, weather-wise, but our local trees had never seen anything like it, and they weren't ready. A million dollars doesn't sound like much nowadays, but Creswell only has 5000 residents, so that's an average of two hundred bucks a person...and we live in an apartment building, and we don't even own our own tree!

I know what I'll be doing tonight -- catching up on a week's worth of emails. Tomorrow I'll see what LocostUSA has been doing since I was...otherwise occupied. Ciao for niao.

The deal is done, I am the proud new owner of Kinetic Vehicles.

I am going to change as little as possible, I will try to keep all the website content available and all the years of Jack's knowledge on full display. I am going to move websites over to a new platform and make the store available for on-line ordering. You will be able to order parts whenever you want.

I have all the molds for the fiberglass parts and will be getting a fiberglass fabricator lined up this week. After that, I will be stocking the fiberglass parts.

I do not have nearly as much knowledge about the Locost as Jack does, but I do own one (that is still a long way from done) and know what it takes to build a car from nothing.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please email me KineticVehicles@gmail.com

I look forward to helping people build their dream cars.

Ryan

Yes it's true! Ryan "No Relation" Chapman (that's a Colin Chapman joke) now has the tools and inventory, minus a smattering of parts I hung on to to complete orders pending. I hope to use my copious free time to be more active on this forum. I am most assuredly not going away, and will be on Ryan's speed dial while he gets settled in.

I'm still accessible through <jack@kineticvehicles.com>, and Ryan has <sales@kineticvehicles.com>.

Congrats. Jack is a wealth of knowledge so keep asking him questions. Where are you located? Russ

I am in St George Utah, about 100 miles north of Las Vegas.

Thank you, I will keep Jack on speed dial and ask him many questions.

Ryan already has one happy customer. The new system works pretty slick. Looking forward to doing business with him in the future.

Congrats Ryan! Glad someone stepped up the bar to take it over. Had I been younger, I would have definitely given it consideration myself.

Glad we will still be able to tap all the knowledge that Jack has in the future.

Now, down the rabbit hole we all go with this addictive hobby together.

Ryan, have you updated the Locost USA Facebook group? I am sure there will be a lot of interest.

Hopefully my mid-march I will have stock and be able to fill orders.
