Locost Seven Clone

I am selling my Locost autocross racecar, I am building a D-Prepared Miata so it needs to go. This car was originally built by Gene Young. I bought it a year and a half ago and put all the bodywork back on, added some nerf bars and raised the steering column and shifter.

One of the main reasons I bought this car was the brilliant suspension work Gene did. The front suspension is right off a formula car and can be adjusted without taking anything apart. The rear three-link and watts has a very low roll center and works very well for autocrossing. I've got a new set of R25b tires coming next week and they'll go on the car and if I still have the Locost in late July, I'll be running on them at the Houston Divisional.

I am asking $7500.00.

Lots of spare parts are included, carbs, electric, gears, extra rear axle, original bike gauges, receipts, CAD drawings, suspension files, ect.

Finished in 2003
Standard “Book” sized chassis
Right hand drive
Paddle shift 6 speed sequential gearbox
13”X10” Diamond racing wheels
20”X9”X13” Hoosier slicks
20”X9”X13” Hoosier rains tires, with wheels
Tilton dual master cylinder racing pedals
Current weight is approx. 900lbs.

Rear suspension
1st. gen Mazda Rx-7 axle with LSD
Adjustable three link, with Watts link
Double adjustable coilover shocks
Wilwood Dynalight single calipers

Front suspension
Fiero spindles.
Fully adjustable tubular control arms
Wilwood Dynalight single calipers
Woodward custom racing rack and pinion, with changeable ratios
Inboard double adjustable coilover shocks

Engine
1993 Honda CBR1000f
Custom car header
Pod air filters
Loud and less loud mufflers

Ask any questions, I've got answers. This car is a BLAST to compete in and is low maintenance and easy to adjust. I can deliver it within the SanAntonio, Dallas, Houston triangle.

The two attached photos are of it at the Dallas National Tour and how the car currently looks with the new rear subframe and bodywork reattached.

Photos of the car when Gene sold it to me can be found at this gallery.
