Strikes again... that was in 1984! I may have to do the same after mine's done.

I remember reading that in R&T when it first came out. It's still great writing, and I'm still jealous... Both of the trip and his talent at telling us about it.

If that's not motivation to finish the project, I'm not sure what is!

After some shake down cruises locally, that is my plan. When I was a "Westie" I was going to make an Eastern Circle.. now I'll simply make a "Western" Circle.

From here, NC, drive up to OH and then to Chicago, across the plains and mountains, stopping at Mt Rushmore and then on to Wash to visit the Brother, Down into CA to visit the other Brother, out to Tahoe and the Rockies, Down to the Meteor Crater and the Grand Canyon, across the Midwest and back.

About 120 hours of driving and 6500 miles! That's my dream trip! One Day!!

Cheers!

KS

Botbasher, you can stop by the Midwest Se7ens Gathering in Minnesota, June 6-10 on your way. Or you can crash at my house in KC if it is some other dates. Russ

Yep, that was an excellent story.

The only thing it needed was Jack's episode with a blizzard when he went cross country in his just bought Locost.

One of my oldest friends lives in Olathe!! Be careful.. I may just take you up on that!!

The current plan is for next summer (subject to my building and wallets ability!)... I'm thinking it won't be done till Fall or Winter (unless miracles occur!).

Your sig speaks the truth!! Great group of folks!!

Cheers!
