Anyone else going to be there?

If so post up and we'll arrange to meet sometime.

I'm staying close by in a camping trailer so as not to have to drive into town for lodging.

I've been to multiple races at the track, although I skipped last year's F1 race thinking it would be a horrible mess - and it wasn't, and so was going to just do General Admission tickets because I've never really used my seats before. But my son talked me into seat tickets since there will be a lot more people there than at the other races.

We are in the grandstands @ Turn 5, but if the crowds permit, we'll be all over the track.

David

Sorry. I must have been confused. With the talk in the other thread about Colin Chapman getting his start with the Austin Seven, When I read the title, I dropping in looking for photos of what an F1 Austin Seven would look like.

Move along everybody. Nothing to see here.

Well I can see where you might think that.

I'm excited as I haven't been to a Grand Prix since the 60's when I was a little tyke, plus there's a side

My son & I are going and while he doesn't know it, I'm picking his brain as to what he would consider the ideal 280Z.

Why the Z you might ask, well his fiance & I have cooked up a scheme to complete his very first car (a 77 280Z) before the wedding September 6, 2014 and present him the as close to completed, but definitely driveable, car as the Grooms gift the day of the wedding so they can drive it off. We didn't get it completed 14 years ago when we bought it so it's been sitting all this time.

I honestly don't know if I have time to do it so that's kinda why the grilling. To see how elaborately he's built this thing in his head to see if I have even the slightest chance of pulling this off.

BTW it won't have that boat anchor of a 6 put back in it so that complicates matters.

So I'm excited to listen to this generation of cars since they are changing engines next year.

My son also has the "Leave me alone I know what I'm doing" Tshirt he want's Kimi to sign.

Hi Carguy-
I'm definitely envious of you going to the F1 event. I'm gonna have to get to one of those one day, before I'm too old to enjoy it. (can ya get that old?)

Looks like he might have to settle for getting Heikki Kovalinen (sp?) to sign it, seems Kimi isn't gonna make the show... Bummer!

Post us some pics of the F1 show, and the Z car project, when you get a minute or six...

Enjoy the weekend!
