We're doing it again! Gainesville is my adopted home here in the Missouri Ozarks. This year they are having their (sort of) second annual 4th of July/Independence Day parade. Like the first time around, entry is pretty much open to whoever wants to join. I think this would be a great way to introduce the joy that is Locosting to these folks. While trucks and Harleys are the favored transports around here, the guys are all into cars of any shape and/or form in a big way! We're just North of the Arkansas line about 60 miles East of Branson. We tried this two years ago, but without enough advance notice to get any of the Locost guys out, but now we're trying it again with an extra month and a half notice. The parade is being organized as an example of "good ol', down home, small town, family fun" and I thought the Locosts would fit right in! If anyone is interested, please let me know! :D

Whoops! Forgot to mention. It's not actually on the 4th, which is Monday this year. The parade will be on Saturday, the 2nd! My bad. Sorry!

WOW! No interest whatsoever? I am shocked and dismayed! I'd really love to expose the locals here to the joy that is "Locosting"! Check out my post on the Locost USA Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=locost%20usa

Thanks, Russ. I'll check that out, but "LocostUSA" feels more like 'family'!

Hey Chris, throw it on a trailer, decorate it with some red, white, and blue ribbons and call it a "Float"!

OK, if I Bump this now that should put it somewhere near Russ's "Gathering" post. Maybe it'll get some attention this time.

OK guys! I'm gonna try this again, now that we're getting closer to the holiday. Still lookin' for some Locosters that would like to take part in an old fashioned, small town 4th of July parade (Even if it is actually on Saturday the 2nd) in "Beautiful downtown Gainesville, Missouri" right here in the heart of the Ozarks! We've got some antique cars, some street rods, probably some tractors, and equestrian units, but almost nobody here has ever seen a Locost. Let's try to change that!
