Is there anyone out there willing to put one on? We did not have one in 2017 so we are way overdue. I have either put on or helped put on several over the last 10 years. It is not that hard. Just a little seat time scouting out roads and finding a good host hotel and places to eat. Russ

I came across this book last spring and my first thought was that it would be a grate guide book for a gathering if you don't mind it being in WI again.

http://www.cruisinthebackroads.com/

There are 12 rides totaling about 1500mi and the ones I have been on have been nice winding back-roads, perfect for locosts.

Corvette Museum seems to be a destination for many car groups. Track, nice back roads, reasonable prices, etc. And we can all sleep at Dave Hempy's place.

Wisconsin is cool. We have a cabin in Door Co. WI and would love to have one up there but the roads suck, too many damn tourists, hotels are too expensive, and too many cops (don't ask me how I know that). Russ

I know that there is a major national Hot Rod show here in Louisville each year. And twisties aren't that far away from here either.

Well, there's always Northern Arkansas. Every one seemed enjoy it in 2011... except for the heat! :ack: But, that was an unusually hot year.

Biased on you comment and assuming you spend most of your time in Door Co. I don't think I would ever want to visit there!
Around here the only tourists are at cranfest time when Warrens goes from a population of 300 to over 30,000 over the weekend otherwise its dead quiet and peaceful,
and I can run for 5 hrs straight at speeds approaching 100 mph without ever seeing a cop (ask me how I know). Its been almost 20 yrs since I have been pulled over by a cop.

I was wanting to host this one, but the move and kids my schedule so tight, I don't get much time to do anything else. Hopefully I can host 2019. we will see what the winter brings, but I may be able to take a car to 2018 gathering if someone steps up.

Northern wisconsin is beautiful with tons of lakes and lots of curvy roads. The tourists are spread out more too. Lodging is much more reasonable.

I always thought a Tennessee run through the bourbon trail would be fun too, quaint little towns to drive through. I was in Knoxville last summer and it was awesome roads. Tennessee is pretty inexpensive to stay too

From Knoxville, you're just a "Hop, Skip and a Jump" from Deals Gap and the Tail of the Dragon!

I swore I would never put on another one of these but no one has stepped up to do this so I guess I will have to do it. 2018 Midwest Se7ens Gathering will be in NW Arkansas sometime in May 2018 (it will NOT be on the weekend of the third Sunday). So look at your calendars and see what Thurs- Sun you have available and let me know. I will go down in February or March and start scouting out roads, eateries, and lodging. Russ
