It's been too long since the last LLL...dear wife misses them, and I need some "inspiration" to clean up my garage! We're looking to hold one next month.

The Lounge has been a big hit the first and second times...a real laid-back, agenda-free affair. Both times we've gotten enough drivers, builders, and wanna-be's to crowd up the garage pretty good. Lots of lies, advice, encouragement, test drives, and too much food. (maybe even valuable prizes again!)

UPDATE: The date has been set for August 7th, 2010. Skip ahead to Page 3 for the full announcement and to RSVP.

So...show of hands on folks who are likely to come to Lexington, Kentucky for a day of manly kinship! List your best and worst Saturday (or Sunday) in June. If there is interest, we can work around one of these events:

June 4-5: http://www.britishbash.com/ - 90 miles west in Louisville.
June 20 (Sunday) - Local SCCA autocross http://www.ckrscca.org
July 17 - 2010 Keeneland Concours d’Elegance! http://www.keenelandconcours.com/

Chime in, y'all!

Ding!

I'd love a day of kinly manship, and want to do a tour back east this summer. How about setting it for the weekend after (or before as a second choice) the midwest sevens gathering?

Okay...I need a little show of interest here! I'm sure Jack and I will have a great time, but it would be way cooler if some more folks showed up. If you think you might come to Lexington, KY to meet a dozen other builders, see (hopefully) a handful of Locosts-and-such, and probably get a ride, give me a high-five. No commitment (heck, we don't even have a date yet), so sound off here, or send me a PM.

Lexington attractions include several LocostUSA members: Pook, JL1, Mark Rivera, ScrabbleGod, and that Hempy guy.

You can count me in! I'm over in Huntington, WV - just 2 hours away. Any time in June is fine with me - but my build won't be in running shape by then, hope that doesn't count me out.

If it's after or before the weekend of June 13, I may be able to attend... We're planning a trip up to Pennsylvania to the Duryea Hill Climb for my birthday...lol!

I'd sure like to come. I do have a week motorcycle trip planned June 19-27 but I could swing leaving a day later or coming home earlier for the LLL! Can't wait to meet more people with the "disease"

Man...this is something I'd love to make, seeing other 7s in person, getting some rides, seeing the work other people have done...unfortunately 11 hours is a long drive from NYC and I have my doubts if the car will be driveable in mid June.

I don't have a locost anymore, but I may still come by and say hello anyway.

Well, June is not looking so good. The 19th was looking great, but I have a conflict I'd hate to miss. The next weekend (26/27) is good, but I don't want to compete with the midwest gathering. Any sooner than that is probably too short notice. (or is it?)

I wanted to avoid the heat of July...but maybe that's not so bad.

What do you all think of June 12?

What do you all think July 3? (or any part of the holiday weekend?)

This isn't a vote...more of a feeler. If folks are game, maybe we'll do June 12. Haven't checked with sweetie yet...

Sorry I'm not more with it,
-dave
