Some anti-malware products and search engines are reporting that Locostusa.com is not safe. This is most likely because our version of the forum software is about a year old. (It is aggravating that none of the reports I've examined actually cite what the potential threat is...but that's a rant for another day)

While we have no indication of any actual threat posed by the site, software, or user-supplied content, we are upgrading to the current software version, which applies several security patches. Hopefully this will get us off the blacklists.

While surfing any site brings risks, I do not believe the site is any less secure than it was a year ago, and is certainly more secure than it was five or ten years ago.

We'll be doing server maintenance soon. If the site goes down, please go to bed. You deserve it. :-)

ps. If the site is down, you might find an update (or at least a place to commiserate) over here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/734772093204627/

Thank you Sir.
I used to own and operate a popular kayak fishing forum and can appreciate how much work you do behind the screens.

I was able to get on the site without all the red page warnings this morning so obviously you fixed it. Thanx!
