Over the years I've had problems keeping aftermarket driving lights aimed properly; I finally wound up using aluminum braces to keep some of them pointed in the right direction. Most of them used a ball joint of some sort on the bottom, which wouldn't hold tight enough to keep the light in position.

Has this been an issue with any of the street rod type lights used on Sevens? Anything I need to look out for?

I'm using that type and haven't had any issue. Are you using a Nylon lock nut?

I bought mine years ago from Speedway. While I don't have a problem keeping them aimed, one vibrates while the other is rock solid. Go figure.

I am using Speedway as well with no problems, is the bolt hole mounting bracket flat so the headlight mount sits evenly on the bottom when tightened down?

They were Cibie lights bolted to my truck bumper.

Here is the adjustment. Not much to go wrong as long as it is loosened to adjust. Square shank keep the bolt from turning when trying to turn the nut. Stand off is cupped to accept the bucket seat.
