For those of us using MG wiper motors. The circuit to park the wipers is not what I was expecting to see at all.

The lucas mg wiper box interfaces well with both the miata stalk and the rx7 wiper controls. 2speed, intermittant and park all work. If connected properly. It takes some trial and error.

i used the lucas gear box, drive cable and wiper boxes, however i adapted the ford motor to the gear box.

The Lucas wiper motor wiring system is...interesting. I found several wiring diagrams...no two exactly alike, and none of them correct. In the end, once I was sure of the circuitry enough to avoid shorting anything out, I started experimenting.

In the end, I got everything working (on the bench - not installed in the car yet) the way it should. This is the wiper switch (with integrated finger-push washer pump).

The color code (and the poles on the above switch, if anyone else plans on using one like it) is as follows:

- Black - ground
- Brown/Light Green - Park & stop (pole 1 on the switch)
- Solid Green - Power in (pole 2 on the switch)
- Blue/Light Green - High speed operation (pole 3 on the switch)
- Red/Light Green - Low speed operation (pole 4 on the switch).

I hope this helps someone else...it was a royal pain in the tuckus to figure it out!

And I was planning to use a single spst rocker switch.

Jerry
You will need a double through switch. [2 speed wiper ?] off-on-on
You just have to time the parking.
10 yrs ago I said there is no way I'm paying $70+ shp for a switch.

I'm thinking that I only need one speed, so there's hope for me yet.

Oddly, I didn't need any adapters. The line from my steering wheel stalk plugged right in to my M.G. wiper motor. Or maybe not so oddly.
