I don't run the air pump or a simulator and mine made 249WHP and 192 tq which is apparently extremely high considering my mods.
My recommendation is keep the engine as stock as possible, get the injectors cleaned, new spark plugs, fresh oil, when money is available get an ECU, AEM EMS V2 is what I have but Haltech or Hondata are similar. To get more out of the engine you can lower VTec most people go for around 4K rpm but my car worked better closer to 3K rpm. I also raised the redline a little to get more speed in 2nd gear for Autocross but would actually run it slightly lower than stock on the track for longevity.
I also added a lighter flywheel saving 13lbs and pulleys saving about 6lbs and removed the air compressor for obvious reasons.
