I have used the corrugated plastic like beal showed on my locost. Most of it was reused from the donor's wiring harness. It does work and is just as easy to add or troubleshoot the wiring after the fact. I prefer the split braided stuff I used on the Cushman. The splits/transitions and ends are nicer looking and the curves can be tighter IMO. But either will work.

The downside to the non-split stuff that 300D50 showed is that each wire much be fed thru from one end to the other. Not insurmountable but certainly could be a tedious effort. WHile I like the different colors, I wouldn't even try this method myself. YMMV

All are good ideas. It all comes down to personal choice.

I've seen split corrugated OEM elbows and tees in junkyards. GM uses a lot of them.

I've had to re-do electrical-taped and friction-taped harnesses before. That's a nasty, nasty, nasty job.

I'm fond of the braided stuff, too. It's pretty versatile, and looks very clean. I use heat shrink over the ends where the wires exit, and that keeps it all tidy & stops it from sliding back like a stretched-out sock.

Just a quick update. Bought some split braided sleeve on Amazon, seems to work really well.

Is that the usual, ribbed plastic stuff, or....?

Got a linky?

After years in electronics making harness for many uses up to fighter jets, I prefer this.

At $33 for five feet :ack:
Check flea-bay, [industrial section] I paid just over $2 for about 4 feet. Dis-claimer 10+ yrs ago.
Used about 25 feet for the build, which included covering some fuel line.

I went berzerk with my wiring.
First I tied it with waxed twine.
Then wrapped with polyethylene non adhesive tape and I finished with Spiral Wrap.
Tie Wrap square tiedouwns riveted every 25 cm or so.
I took great care witth coloring and routing so I I thinl that will outlast the car...

I haven't run across "non-adhesive tape" before. Does it stick to itself, or is it just a ribbon?
