Speedway Motors has the buckets in chrome, S/S, or painted.

About $115.00. Nice units, and fast shipping

Another small benefit of the SS is that they are slightly less shiny than the chrome buckets and as such are subdued enough to not become the focal point of the car at first glance.

On the topic of Daves original post I have a friend that has the headlights in his kit car and he loves them, says they are worth the money his point opinion.

I don't know... my stainless ones are a mirror-finish. Easy enough to fix that though...

$110 is less than what I paid. (I forget the price, but I'm thinking it was around $200 maybe?) For $50 more, I'd be tempted to go with their other model, which looks to have more LED's for the turn signal. Useful for signaling with headlights on:

I looked back at my original link. Looks like the ones I have are now $50 per side. That's not much more than a decent LED turn signal.

I agree the SS are shiny especially when polished but when placed together with the polished chrome, the SS has a slightly darker or blacker, maybe deeper look to them, almost a hint of black chrome, no doubt a minor issue, but I had both and it was just something I observed and maybe in the long run quite irrelevant.
Chock it up to an observation or maybe the kind of Stainless on my particular buckets.

I think the all in one headlight does tidy up the front of the car and when you factor in the seperate cost of stand alone turn signal lights it might be quite cost effective.

The hot rod guys in Australia wanted to use those, because they would be a very neat solution to the turn indicator problem.
Problem is, they are not approved here.
The reason being that when the headlight is on at night, you need to stare straight into the blazing headlight, and the turn indicator is not easy to see even then.
Great idea, but first check they are legal in your State/Country.

They have to be legal in the US, the Mk.4 Golf has the signal mounted between the high & low beam.

Well the concept of combined headlights/turn signals may be legal. A lot of these aftermarket headlights are not DOT approved so let the buyer beware. That is if DOT approval is iportant to you.

I just ordered these (7" H4, 10 LEDs along bottom for park/turn signals, flat face lens) for $74.99 with FREE shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110773187625?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

The other style (7" H4, half moon shaped LEDs along bottom for park/turn signals, rounded face lens)is available here for a $100/pair, not sure about shipping: http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/15610.html

Dave,
Sorry I'm so late on this, but just found it at Speedway today. They have a pair of LED's that appear to clamp around an H-4 headlight bulb and makes the turn signal inside the headlight assy. Their P/N 910-64150 for $15/pair.

I ordered a set of the lights from Chevsofthe40s.com. They were $50 ea. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that customer pickup was available in Vancouver, WA, less than 10 miles from my house. Like already mentioned, the quality leaves something to be desired: there's a lot of glue inside and outside of the lens, and the reflector is a little bit smudged on the inside, but I'm sure it'll be fine once I get them installed.

I bought a pair of stainless "King Bee" 7" headlamp buckets off eBay for $100, free shipping, to mount them in.

A friend who happens to be an attorney has reminded me that I don't want to ever be in court after a visibility-oriented accident and have the other guy's lawyer find out that I driving at night with headlights that are not DOT approved, or got rear-ended with tail or stop lights that are not DOT approved.
