If you install a bright turn signal light right above your tach you wont forget to turn it off after making your turn:P , saves extra work and a bit of money.

Not to be confused with the upshift light. It would give a whole new meaning to making a 1 G, right turn on a Red in fifth gear. Sorry, Officer, I was told to shift up
Seriously, a good idea. My R1 instrument cluster has it incorporated, but the self cancelling and four ways module is on my list.

I use a Signal Dynamics module for my signals and hazards. I bought a generic power window switch to control the signalling part, works great.

Just to add one more (admittedly not so locost) is one from Kasan called a "Signalminder".. it was about 100.00, but it gave me the self-cancelling AND flashing lights upon braking (for 1st 2 or 3 seconds).. a bit pricey, but a plug in with cool options (hazzard/wig-wag...)

got mine at:

Great people to deal with.. I had the wrong unit (my fault) and they were very cool about exchanging it..

...has a cool horn button. He got a cheap key-fob radio relay thingie and mounted the transmitter in the horn button, and the receiver in the horn circuit. Thus he can take off his removable steering wheel without unplugging wires.

It's clean, practical, and locost, and it's pretty amusing as well. Not only can he take the steering wheel into the restaurant with you when you break for lunch (which is an effective theft deterrent in itself), he can honk at people who mess with car, and never has to leave the table.

But I'm getting OT here. My point is, you could put two of these transmitters in your steering wheel to activate your turn signals.
