I've scan all the pages, but it is a massive pdf file!!!
Send me a PM with your E-mail, and I will shot it out to you.
The rod ends are sorted by the length of the threaded rod that engage the adjuster :ack:
So you will have to look down the columns to find the right taper you need for your spindle or the I.D. size.

Feel free to upload or attach the pdf. You can put it in a zip or tar file if it doesn't want you to upload the pdf directly.

I have been thinking of ways to mount the front suspension uprights on my Sprite without using the king pin and trunions and using ball joints instead. My idea is to bore the kingpin bearings out top and bottom and replace them with a tapered sleeves which I would braze into place. This would be used to mount ball joints. (See sketch) If brazing steel to cast iron doesn't sound so good it might be possible to slice the inserts and use the taper to form an expansion fit.

This would be an easy and locost solution to using Sprite parts. Do I hear peels of laughter?

Comments, including derision, please!

You need to look for a Toyota Van "Toaster Van" spindles from 1982-89. You need a lower BJ from a 1991-96 Previa 2WD Moog P/N K9825, and the upper BJ is Ford F-250 1968-76 P/N ES-150R. When looking for these knuckles make sure you get the caliper mounting brackets. If you need any additional info just send a PM. Dave W

I recently picked up front and rear RX8 subframes. In the interest of sharing here's a dump of all my measurement photos and some hopefully clean orthogonal views that could be used in CAD sketchers (after scaling to match included rule/tape measure)

https://goo.gl/photos/ECWCfhTbpvGUCavx5

When I get it all in CAD I'll add put up a dropbox or equivalent link with some iges or step files.

Enjoy!

Anyone have a 3d model on mustang II drop spindles?

I was looking at my model of my front suspension today and I don't think my standard mustang II spindles will fit in my wheels.

I just bought a set of PInto drop spindles. I could take some pictures or measurement for you. There are some diagrams on the Wilwood site of their drop spindles, which are a bit taller than stock.

I put one of my drop spindles in a 13 wheel I have and it looked like it would fit if you use spherical bearings. I am going to buy some ball joints and hubs "any day now". There was perhaps 2" clearance top and bottom. The spindles are just ove 8" tall from bottom surface to top surface.

Measurements would be great. I've got a model for wilwood drop spindle off of grabcad and a model of a standard mustang II spindle but didn't know the exact dimensions of a standard drop spindle so I haven't modified the file yet.

I'm debating on just buying some normal drop spindles and scanning them honestly.

I came across a spindle I think could work quite well today. Textron (which took over Arctic Cat) just launched a new UTV with some spindles that utilize rod ends. This is the front spindle which I think could be utilized at all four corners of a locost. Please see the article below. I don't have the spindle in my hand to provide any more pictures or measurements.

edit: The wheels pictured are 15" and I believe the bolt pattern is 4 x 156

I'm in the design phase and will be using Wilwood 2" dropped Mustang II spindles and was wondering if anyone has a measurement from the spindle face to the mounting surface of the hub?

Thanks

More info needed.
What hubs are you considering? If you are using Wilwood "hat" or "adapter" hubs, they publish the dimensions for each under "details".
If you're using a Ford hub/rotor, which one? (M2- 9.25" OD or TBird - 10.1" OD)
