I have the 2" tie rod extenders from Jack, but I am still a little sort. I remember a post about a alternative tie rod end off another Mazda vehicle that was longer then the stock Miata piece. I have searched and searched and cannot come up with the right search term to find the post. Maybe I an imagining it? Am I crazy or can anyone point me in the correct direction?

Thanks

Graham

Graham, Jack has been known to make custom parts in the past. Might give it a try.

I didn't see the extenders on Jacks site, but they are supposed to be adjustable until plug welded.

I emailed Jack about his extender kit, I am not sure that he still makes them. When I ordered my control arm kits he recommended the Diamond ATV adjusters. I guess I could daisy chain two of the Diamond adjusters together, I don't like the idea but I cannot thing of a good reason why not. But hopefully I can get a kit from Jack.

Daisy chain is fine. You'll need a few m12-1.25 nuts though.

Diamond J is the manufacturer, I buy mine from them--theirs are more attractive than the ones I used to make, and if I were to pay myself minimum wage, they'd be cheaper too ($30 a pair last time I checked, and shipping included). The appropriate page on their web sit is http://diamondjcustoms.com/misc-parts/t ... sions.html and you'll want the 12mm ones, available in either 2-1/4" or 3". Oh yeah, and they each come with an M12-1.25 nut. Right now all I have in stock is the 2-1/4" model, so for quickest service, go straight to Diamond J.
