Just checked my old Aircraft Spruce order. A dozen AN6-22s, plus a dozen AN364-624A nuts and 24 AN960-616 washers. My brackets are all 2" wide on the outside. One washer under each bolt head and under each nut, and I have about 3 threads showing.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I'm at a stage where I need to design and buy components for the front suspension, and I don't understand how the bushing should work in the bracket.
First time building a car.
As I understand, that the bolt has to be tightening the bushing inner sleeve to the bracket, so the sleeve won't be able to swivel, right?
So, the whole suspension movement is done by the outer steel tube "spining" on the rubber insert?

@tibimakai

Don't feel bad, Tibor. I was the same way. We had a discussion about this issue with respect to my build, which I can't find right now. However, there is a very good video on YouTube that will explain the whole thing. It's just below.

Cheers,

Lonnie

Good YouTube Video on Bushings

Thank you for that Lonnie.
I have watch this video a while ago, but I have forget about it.
So the shank(unthreaded part) has to go through both bracket tabs. Grate 8 is enough, got it.
