Looked high and low but nobody is making and selling four-bolt Mustang II alloy hubs.
Mustang seem to almost be the default for everything from Locost to Cobra builds.
Tubular A arms can be had off the shelf reasonably cheap, lowered spindles, and a huge array of brake options.

I may want them in 4x108 to take modern rotor hats and have the CNC tools to make them with.
I know 4x100 is a very popular pattern and there are probably others that would be desired too.

Should I expect interest or just make a pair for myself?
I'm not so greedy as the guys making them in Chevy bolt patterns.
Fairly big chunk of aluminum is the major expense for making them.

I don't think these are cheap, but this is the standard for a lot of smaller road race cars:

I've often wondered about those Pinto spindle pins they sell. It looks like they would be for welding into a custom upright, but I've never seen an example....

Been to that site many times, never found those hubs!
Guess i did not know the magic search word.
Pinto based, but the 4x108 PINTO PCD is not available. :BH:
4x110 is, whatever that fits.
Wonder if they would be willing to do a 4x108 set for a custom order?

EDIT: Called them.
Yes a custom pattern is available, or blank to drill myself.
$216.00 each blank.
I'm going to look at some aluminum stock I have on hand to see if it's large enough.
I may make a few of these to my own design if I already have the material.

Maybe that's the list price for them all regardless of the wheel pattern. You shouldn't need a special, According to my calculator the 4-1/4" BC is essentially 108mm (off by <0.002")

PART: #5307-1
DESCRIPTION: Front Hub, Bare — 4x4-1/4" BC

Also, click on "Where to buy". You might find a local speed shop that will sell for below list price.

Doh!
I know that, at least I do when I'm fully awake.
And once again a product idea dies as it's already being done. :BH:
Looking forward to an end to the 14 - 16 hour days I've been doing lately. :ack:

The good news on the long hours is that the current CNC job has a twenty minute cycle.
I've been using that time to 2D sketch the build, drive-train, chassis, rear axle and front suspension center-line.
Also laid out my build table with a grid pattern, very handy to see how the changes go when setting seats, trans, and simulated engine in place.
Set the rear body over the axle and I will not have to narrow it after all if I use stock Alfa off-set wheels.
Looking at 205/60-14 tires, might even be able to do 235/60 in the rear if they are available and work with 6" rims.

So far this appears to working out just a little too well to be believed, I know the body was not designed around an Alfa Romeo Spider!
