So I am currently in the process of rebuilding a small kei car and bought some nb Miata components to replace the old worn-out stuff that it comes with. One problem I am having is with the size of the front subframe so I decided to keep the Miata uprights and do the arms similar to late model dirt track car. But most of the arms I have seen in dirt track use screw-in ball joints and I haven't been able to find that is of similar dimension to that of the Miata one. As for the rear miata subframe i am planning to just shorten it.

The most cost effective thing is to use the miata application joints in your own hybrid arms. Press-in with a stitch/short tack weld on the corner if the joints press in too easy. Weld are located so they can be easily cut with a disc if the joints need to be replaced in the future.

Alternatives are modular racing joints that use chrysler threaded bodies with a ball stud that has the right dims for a miata or close enough that the miata upright can be reamed a little to accept or other oem application joints, such as a tie rod for an UBJ.

Where are the pics? What kind of kei?

The closest to circle track parts for Miata spindles that I'm aware of are the Kinetic Vehicles control arm kits.

Threaded rings to weld into your arms that accept screw in joints.

Check the taper angle on your joints and spindles. Both Summit and Speedway sell tapered reamers to fix joint /spindle mis-matches.
