What is the beneft of mounting the heim joints for the control arm pickup points vertically as comparing to mounting it horizontallu which is kinda more conventional for locost build.

The picture I attached shows what I meant by "mounting vertically".

rather than retype it all, read through the following. Big thing is the heim joints rating is much greater with radial load than axial load and freedom of movement is greater in radial than axial. I mounted all of mine except the rear toe link in radial, but I dont expect much rotation of this heim joint due to the design of the control arm.

The closer you can get your rod ends a pure tension-compression loading, the less it matters. Control arm design and coilover mounting configuration are key players here. This means rod end shanks pointing directly at the center of the ball joint. It also means coilover centerline pointed directly at that ball joint. The further you stray from that, the more the rod end orientation matters. Of course, non-ideal coilover mounting wants the rod ends one way, while non-ideal control arm design wants the rod ends the other way. In that event, the 'correct' way requires doing some math to determine which way loads the rod end less in the axial direction.
