I've searched around and havn't seen many cases of these being used. I've researching them and will have one in my possession soon to measure, but the only drawback I've found thus far is the limited wheel selection in 15" for a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Anyone using these on their build? |

They are a McStrut aren't they? You will have to make a upper ball joint mount for them. I have a 72 240Z in my garage right now undergoing a color change operation. I have the whole front and rear suspension from a 280Z that I had thought about using, but you think the wheel selection is low for 114X5, try 114X4 with a zero offset... |

I used 1979 280ZX front struts for my build, with wheels that (I think) are 4 x 4.5". I had custom wheels made so I guess I sidestepped the availability issue. |

They don't appear to be McStrut's. They appear to have 2 a-arm type knuckles with a steering arm. The appearence makes them seem pretty suitable but without having one in hand, its hard to say. I'll know soon enough and will post info. The rear upright from the 300zx is aluminum and also looks suitable for modification, but I may just make my own. The only alternative I may approach is cutting off all but the bearing and caliper carriers and bolting to a separate plate for attachment to the suspension arms - would be quick and easy and avoids having to design caliper brackets and making precision bearing holders. Will have to wait and see on that one. |

What year 300zx are we talking about? The ones I'm familiar with (84-88) are McStruts. Did they change the design in 90? |

5X114.3 = 5X4.5 That should open up the wheel selection. Mustangs etc, use that pattern. |
