I do remember it. When I was in grade school, a guy in our neighborhood had a bunch of Crosleys including a Hot Shot and a station wagon. He had 7 or 8 in all and was always doing something to one of them, so I'd see stuff disassembled all the time.

A zillion years ago, there was an article in Hot Rod magazine called TNT or something close to that. Two men had purchased the rights to the Crosley technology and were developing an OHC 4-banger for use in race boats and midgets using it. That's the last I heard of it. It was a great idea.

Stamped steel, tin block in some models. The different expansion rates between steel and tin could cause cracks over time, so they made the bolt holes a bit oval, allowing some expansion.
