Here's the air jacks. The kit is $2899, so a little steep. They are a little heavy too. Seems like we could cost reduce it. I'll check and see which button that's supposed to be on Speed Racers steering wheel so we get this right...

Yo, Marcus-
When we see a link to Pegasus Racing, you don't need to say that it's expensive...

I wonder about having a medium to large air jack (pneumatic actuator?) that you could slide under a low-slung car, with hose attaching it to compressor or air tank. Open the valve and- POOF- that corner of the car is lifted off the ground. Just the thing for us fat-and-lazy racers... Hmmm.....

Sorry for the thread-jack, I'll ponder this in another posting...

*Edit* Now that I think about it, wasn't there a bladder-thang you hooked up to the car's exhaust and as it filled it lifted the car? Hmmmm....

After trying the Sanden "505" pump, I have to call for help. It does not build much pressure, maybe 50 psi, and the air is not very cold. I am using a 14" X 18" condenser and an Old Air "Hurricane" evaporator. The Hurricane is designed to be used in old American cars, so it is pretty large. I have tried a second compressor and expansion valve, no difference.

The set up is in a small car (Sunbeam Alpine) and on a sunny 80 degree day, just does not do the job. It does work well as a defogger. Is this to be expected when the pump is too small for the evaporator?

Bill

Just ordered one of hurricane's smallest under dash units. Thanks for the info. Will attempt to mate it up to a chev. compressor with stock brackets that is already installed. Still working on the double condenser problem. No room infront or behind the radiator.
