Well heck! I've got the dimensional drawing of the TDI as an Adobe doc, apparently the forum can't upload it.

2 options, there are a few PDF file upload sites on the net, upload and get a link or, open MS Paint, then open your PDF and while you're looking at the picture press the "PrtSc" button on your keyboard, maximise MS Paint and press "shift+v" and then you can crop and save it as a jpeg and upload it.

I learn something new almost every day.
This is for an industrial application so the manifolds will change according to donor and the flywheel dimensions need to be substituted for the one of choice. ..

looking at trans options for vw diesel. option 1-two wheel drive suzuki sammy trans or option 2-toyota w58 82-85 celica. bolth five speeds. acme adapters makes kits for the diesel vw to these transmissions.

havent found much about the suzuki trans. 4x4 guys say to replace it if you have much more than stock 90 hp and or over sized tires. this doesnt give me much faith. O yah and one more thing to keep in mind, a rebuildable trans to my front door $180.

theres a little more info on the toyota options. ive looked at several and my thought lead me to the toyota w58 apx. 75 lbs and rated for 230hp. havent found a torque rating any where. came behind the 22r, 2jz, 7mge and 1g-gte. thats quite a resume. o yah the money thing. at the wrecker across town they have three, $125.

ok and now for your thought? have i missed an option or do you know some thing about these? please pich in.

I'm a big fan of the w58 pretty decent array of ratios, they came in 4x4 pickups, the afore mentioned celica, the celica supra.. the r154 that came in the later supras is a good trans, but not sure about adaptability...

I will be switching to the w58 when I get tired of the Jensen Healey 4 speed and a 4.11 rear end...

Oldejack, upload it as a .ZIP file. Then it can be downloaded, opened and zoomed with all the detail intact.
Easy to package as a .ZIP file, check Windows Help for instructions.
