Absolutely. Pick an axle with a ratio around 3:1 if you intend to drive the expressway or interstate for lower rpms.
An 80-90s ford ranger or mustang 2300 lima and overdrive 5 spd are very easy to find and adapt to carb(s) if you'd like.
