Sadly he has disappeared. Though there are 4 EV power lotus 7 in Aus. 2 Locosts (under construction, 1 of is mine), 1 lotus 7 replica of unknown origin and a Birkin.

None are running Lithium ion that i know of, the Birkin ran some series 1 thundersky which turned out to be rubbish and now has lead acids.
I loved the though of inboard shocks from an aero point of view.

Interesting. Do you have a link to build log or writeup on your build?

Speaking of EV's, a Citicar and a Commutacar showed up on the Atlanta Craigslist in the last few days.

Okay, it's been over a year . . .anyone got anything new on this whole idea?

How about a HYBRID, using a cheap gas engine to charge things up? If you can run one of these with a motorcycle engine, it should be simple to go Electro.

Really late reply, the ozclubbies.com site is no more. The site has become www.ozclubbies.com.au, a link to the build log is below. Note that you need to sign in to be able to view the forum.

Progress is fairly slow, getting married in a couple of months but i keep doing bits and pieces on it.

How it looks at the moment.

Are there any more EV locosts out there now?
