horizenjob,
The main reason I have such a large radiator is because I anticipate some possible cooling issues during the heat of the summer here along with a better safe than sorry theory on my part after reading about Junior's overheating issue on his car which has the same basic drive train as mine. The front opening will end up just like you were saying, lower and smaller I just haven't gotten there yet  I will also be angling the opening in a similar way to the other noses out there.

I agree with your point about the airflow when the car is moving and when it's stationary, my hope is that with proper ducting and planning I will be able to make it so that it won't be any issue and the fans will have to run the least possible even though I will be running the inter-cooler fan pretty much constantly.

Flap top? I'm not familiar with that style. Did you mean flat top?

Sweet! maybe we can get together this weekend sometime and cut the pieces you need and put together the vacuum setup, I got the reservoir tank and the resin trap at HF on Saturday. Also if you want to bring some scrap material you can give TIG welding a try too.

I would say that you should spend the anniversary with her and if she does have to go to Cali on sunday then you can come over after she flies out, I am quite close to Charlotte Douglas Airport  , If she doesn't have to go to Cali then ask her if she would like to come down too on Sunday, your both more than welcome to come down anytime.
