Please tell us some more! It's sad when our success stories just drive off into the sunset.
How many miles have you put on your car? Anything you'd do different?
Thanks for checking back in!
Well one of the small problems with the car is the odometer in the Mychron is flakey, so I don't know exactly how many miles I've put on it. I'm guessing close to 30,000. I just got a cheap hour meter so i know when to change the oil and timing belt.
Other than that...
I followed the book instructions and put the tranny output and axle input horizontal, when I now know I should have angled the tranny down a bit, and the axle up, to improve ujoint life. They've lasted this long, though, knock wood.
Most would say I overdid it a bit on the rear weight bias, but I dunno.
I do wish I'd changed the front main seal while the engine was out of the car, and/or sealed the floor seams, so that greasy goo doesn't slowly get into the passenger compartment.
I'm going to change the rear master cylinder to a smaller diameter to lower pedal effort; I have the new cylinder but it hasn't installed itself yet (I hate brake bleeding, etc.)
I am VERY slowly working on a turbo setup, but I don't expect that to be done for years.
