I am shocked that the guy made it as long as he did without getting caught. Its not like you go to your local cars and coffee and see a whole row of F50s - seems like just having one would raise some interesting questions

My uncle actually did the same thing in the mid 90's. Went into a Chevy dealer wearing a suit and tie and a fancy watch, conned his way into test driving a Corvette and (I kid you not) told the salesman "It's nice, I'll take it" then proceeded to just drive off.

He drove it for about 11 months, he even registered it (somehow) in his name and the only reason he was caught is because a police officer thought he was a bit young to own a brand new Corvette (horray, profiling :lol: )

For the record, I'm not bragging, the fact that I share blood with the guy is bad enough for me :BH:

for how rare this car is, i can't believe ferrari isn't going to just fix it... i mean, worse things have happened to cheaper rare cars at vintage races, and no one is turning those into scrap...
