Oldejack, with the drive shaft on the right (which means the rotation is correct) you should be able to put a prop shaft on it straight to the diff and have a great BEC. The motor will set in the car just like it does in the bike. Too bad it is not nearer to me. Russ

That's what I was thinking, a simple CV shaft to a center bearing (and a place to mount a reverse) then on back to a typical diff. A 6 cylinder that would put most of the weight well behind the front axle and can use kz parts. ....... with lots of room for a well tuned exhaust.

If you find that you're really interested, send me a pm, I live about 45 minutes from Belmont. I could come up with a use for the frame/wheels/suspension I think and an engine shouldn't cost all that much to ship.

1972 Mercedes O309 diesel bus - $1500 (sonoma)

Reply to: sale-f2xhe-2761385432@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This bus has Been converted into a motor home with a bathroom, kitchen, and couch(there is a toilet but holding tank yet). It runs strong but needs a tune up with about 215000 miles( which is low for Mercedes diesel) 5 speed manual transmission. The body is strait with very minimal rust. It needs a good cleaning inside and out. Brakes are non opperable and need to be rebuilt. I don't know how much this will cost. Must be towed. It is pre smog and diesel so there will never be any smog or inspections to pass. The engine is just under 4 liters and gets around 18 miles to the gallon. It measure about 20 feet long and 7 feet wide. Registration is 3 years out. I don't know how much this will cost either. Running project. Please email for questions. $1000 bus is worth more than this but I must move it ASAP. -the motor and tranny alone are worth more than this.

Here's a Lotus Elan, 1991 , M100 with turbo, that would make a good donor car. The car has only 25K miles but was involved in a garage fire on the rear quarter section.

Car is located in San Jose, Ca. Good price at $2900

(No affiliation with the seller)

1988 mercury merkur XR4TI turbo fast - $750 (danville / san ramon)

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/2798178890.html

Quote:

THE INTERIOR IS PERFECT THE BODY IS STRAIGHT NEVER BEEN IN A WRECK.

89k orig miles on current certificate of non operation. DIVORCE FORCES SALE please contact Kevin 925 848 5242
this car is very advanced it was built in Germay and it is turbo charged 2.3 motor
it is rear wheel drive with independent rear suspension like a corvette Mercedes or jaguar.
the car is fully loaded ad has factory hand mechanical sunroof it has struts all the way around
one of these cars was in the fast and furious there were only 800 made this car has every feature and it has been in our family since it was new
the car has been sitting for five years .the interior is good the paint is faded but there are no dents
the merkur is way advanced it has rack and pinion steering and mcfearson struts .I acquired this car 8 years ago when the owner had a brain tumor and was no
longer able to have a license the picture is not of the car but it is the same color ....this car when I drove it for a while was really quick and handled like a go kart. I need to move it
out of my folks pasture in danville. The car was parked where it is running however it needs the wiring looked at becuase there seems to be a draw on the electrical system when I put a good battery in it. I am willing to help who ever buys this car get it started. It should be lubed and all fluids changed before driving it ...
