Interesting. Especially as a trike as you describe is what I'd like to build. Hmmmm..... :?

The link given in the video doesn't work.

Someone smart run that thru Wishbone and see what you get.

Roll center on a motorcycle - are you sure it is the tire patch? when I have been riding hard and playing the bike rolls about a point somewhere off the ground, depending on how hard I am rolling it.

The roll center is at ground level. Or slightly above, if you're referencing from the centerline of the vehicle instead of the ground plane.

What you're feeling is the rotation about the center of gravity. With a countersteer input you run the front tire out from under the center of mass, causing the bike to fall toward the inside of the turn. With a sharp steering input, you can feel the bike twist between your legs as the front wheel moves.

For every direction the bike can rotate about its center of mass there's a polar moment of inertia associated with it. A bike with its mass concentrated near its center of gravity feels more responsive on turn-in than one with its mass more widely distributed.

I thought K2fd was talking about the wheel coming off the ground on a bike when applying power out of a turn.

None of us seem to be talking about the same thing. I think I'll go back to my simple vw 2f1r trike.

Yeah I think it's worth a shot on a reverse trike as long as you have long'ish arms to control the excessive camber gain - pivot them from the middle and use a VDub steering box in the middle.

I think the guy has basically given up, no manufacturer wanted to touch it. Later i know he was pushing some other roll center based designs that didn't cross over but i can't find that info, it was a website.

The suspension programs I have won't accept the parameters.

Miatav8,MstrASE,A&P,F - probably my fault for my lack of comprehension of the OP originally and misdirecting, I couldn't sleep the other night and got out of bed about 3am and posted, sorry about that.

The more I think about it, it really just won't work with a trike. It may work with 4 wheels, though I don't think there would be any real benefit. I think it could be a fun ride though.
