I saw this car run at Gateway. Does anyone know if it is still out and about? Looks like after 2007 the info dries up. The car was really impressive, he was on the edge of getting around the track in under 60 seconds, but the car ran hot so he could only get one good lap in and then he had to let it cool off.

I think I could fix the overheating and I know I could die happy if I just had that car.

I LOVE the sound the trip rotors make. They sound like the Ferrari V12s of old.

not bad If I remember it won in 2006 when they switch over to heartland park. ( I should know better I was there that year)
Then Jeff Kiesel showed up with the Green Sprite and the rest is history...That Sprite keeps getting and better and is driven by an incredible alien driver...

Boy that looks like a WIDE front track!

You also couldn't see the bottom of the bottom flaring out in the other pics. Looks cool.

Montreal Canada

Yup that's right... Drove down 23 hours in 2 days, race 6 minutes and drove back 23 hours in 2 days...
We stayed the whole week... in 2006 we were 16 from montreal to actually come down, that's when we started to build 2 Locost Chassis...

It was the last year I drove seriously in Solo 2... We were ready to go back in 2010 with the Locost in Licoln for the Nationals, but we had some engine and handling issues. Last year my job kept me away from everything and this year will be going at the Canadian Autoslalom Championship in Barrie last weekend of August instead of the SCCA Nationals.

We should finally make the treck back in 2013, man 7 years..to go back in a Se7en

The Solo 2 program down here has been going downhill since 2006... The same year I stop being seriously involve on in the sport on the organisational side... Sad coincidence... I wish the program would pick up again, running a mod car is intense and the course are even more intense... too bad.. Thats the main reason why I've drifted to Road Racing with my car...

Cheers,

Fred

Oh yhea fergot to mention that I have some footage of the car from my 2006 Nationals Championship DVD... the car sounded more like a turbine than a V12...

All in All its a pretty cool, Se7en interpreatation and I'd love to see more of it

Jerry is still around. Business and other factors have kept him from racing the Vikings lately.

He's got other drive lines (V8s, rotary, etc) in various Vikings around his shop in vrious stages of completion. He's also built a few for customers.

I'm sure you'll see him out racing them again soon.
