i think they are bat wing pivots for tube axle front ends, i had not thought of using them for independant a arms though.

i will keep this in mind for another build, nicely spotted.

the more i look at them the better they get, what thead is on the stud part and how big is the hole in the bush,

funny thing, the English language, "how big is the hole in the bush", but you know what i mean.

did a search and these used to be made by concours west industries but they are long gone so they are now available from kugul komponents at a better price than given above, $55.00 for l.h. and $50.00 for r.h. unpolished.

with these at the ends of your a arms you can make your chassis braquettes parallel to the chassis and a arm construction gets simpler because there are no short pieces of tube to fit the hiem joints into, infact the top a arms could be made completely from a catalogue with no welding at all.

then we could fit aftermarket spindles and brakes, complete with the lower ball joint and it's weld ring, just fabricating the lower a arm to suit the chassis width.

now if someone were to find a suitable bell crank we could have inboard shocks as well. (i'm asking here.)

but i digress from why we are here, TO FABRICATE EVERYTHING FOR OUR CARS!

Neat, but expensive. For a Locoster same effect could be accomplished for a lot less money by fabbing it yourself from standard off-the-shelf parts. Just use a poly bushing, a small section of steel tube, a piece or two of appropriate thickness flat steel, and a clevis or solid rod end.

Thanks for the kugel komponents site find. They list specs and offer a wide range of size options at a cheaper price. They also have a nice disassembled pic. Sometimes the time it takes to fab a part is more costly than just buying it. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

That youtube video was pretty decent.

So anyone here used these for their build?

looking again at the vidio and it occured to me that maybe you could fab the rockers for inboard suspension the same way just longer but using the same tube and bushings.

i still think there must be some premade rockers out there somewhere that can be used, i'm trying to find enough premade parts for the front suspension so that the fabrication is minimal for a road going sevenesque type car?

How about the ones used on motorcycle back ends?

The bikes are light but the shocks and rockers are at a big leverage disadvantage and sized accordingly.
