It has taken 5 years, a divorce and many technical challenges but it's as close to "Done" as it ever will be at this point. As everyone knows our cars are seldom 100% complete, that's why we do this. Car was given a "Fit" registration yesterday by the Ministry of Transport of Ontario aka MTO so with that I consider it "DONE" for all intents and purposes. If anyone in the GTA is going through this I can provide a wealth of advice.
To recap, I'm 6'3" so the car was sized for me as well as sized for the 355ci Chevy LT-1 FI V8 converted to coil on plug ignition sitting under the hood matted to a T-56 6-speed both from a 1994 Camaro. Power is roughly 350hp and weighs in at a rather hefty 1600lbs. Car was built from scratch not from a kit but is registered as a kit. The next, and final hurdle will be insurance come spring, that seems like it might be the biggest hurdle.
Not going to finish the aluminium until I get some seat time come spring. Winter project is to get the seats covered and speedometer working.
