I have always been interested in a really light car and it occurred to me, when I parted out a Porsche 914, that there is too much weight tied up in the suspension of a typical street car to make a really light build possible. On my way home from coffee this AM I happened on a Can-Am Spyder. I have often wondered about using the front end out of one of these in a build. They have what looks like a light modern front hub, brakes and wheels. So off to the internet.
Check it out. Not locost but there have to be some of these parts scrapped somewhere.

These are so new they probably command a hefty price at the auction.

Second problem is the front suspension is usually the first part to the scene of the accident.

Its not like the sport bikes that the plastic is the most valuable part.

Need to find one rear ended or burned.... Theft recovery? but that's going to be a reseller and get top dollar.
