Horizon, yes those lower frame rails flex a lot. Much more than any motor mount would. I leveraged motor with jackstand handle to inspect motormounts and was in awe how much the support points moved. Since then the motor has been stressed member of the frame. This second one will be done the same from the beginning. Well balanced Miata motor did not transmit (new) vibrations to the frame, I would think smooth six will be same or even better.
I like turbo's a lot and that is the main reason for engine choice.
