Body Identification

OK. I bought this body last week and I've been searching ever since to find a manufacturer. The head scratching issue I'm seeing is there is no cavity for the sides of a conventional frame to fit around the outside. I've built other kits and cars but this one has stumped me a little. Did they make a frame style that only goes down the center? Like a Vette style torque tube kind of thing? I'm just worried it wont take the LT1 I want to put in it. Any help would be great.

No that's not the frame for it. Some other project maybe.

We need some more pictures. Does it have a floor? It looks like the main part would drop onto a standard style frame and the nose would then follow. I think Westfield cars basically do this. Maybe you could find body work pictures off the frame for them.

It has a floor. I'm used to having a "pocket" for the frame to sit in. It doesn't look like a frame would go around it unless there is far more outer body work to be added. Like a shell or something. The thing that vexes me is the outer portion of the body looks like it would be a final shape kind of thing.

Were any of these designed to have an exo-skeleton type of frame?

A friend that lurks here thinks it is a Blakely Bantam. I had a Blakely Bearcat and I must say the construction looks familiar.

One of those Wiki links says the body sat on a ladder-type frame, very likely fitting up into those slots in the floor. The body is definitely the outside shell.
