I feel liberated and anxious, the king of indecision has finally stopped the visions dancing in my head long enough to start the design / build process.

Here is my challenge, I only know enough about engineering to be very very dangerous, are there any members out there good with c.a.d and front suspension design?

I can pay a fair amount for the help and am excited to work with someone who can help turn a dream into a car!

Heres the basic idea:

3 wheels, 2 in the front, 1 in the back, harley engine up front mated to a vw transaxle and front wheel drive (kinda like a blackjack zero) big wide tire in the back.

frame kind of reminecent of a twintech and an At-om with a narrow (wide enough for the bottom of the harley engine plus a few inches) front and narrow (wide enough for the 12" rear tire) rear end and "bowing" toward the middle)

anyone game to help?

Thanks

Would this be an open source or closed source design?

Would you retain proprietary use or would you set the information free for anyone one to use? Maybe charge for plans?

Just a question....What inspires you most design wise the At-om or the Morgan?

Sounds interesting I hope to read more........

Ill bet I am not alone in the dream that if this thing is as pretty to others as it is in my own head, there would be a market for it.

The question leads me to a favorite quote from my "day job" (I publish books on small business development and consult with small business owners who want to make more money)

Its from a venerable old writer, Zig Ziglar

"The more you help people get what they want, the more you get what you want"

So Open source it is, if there is a business to be built later it would be on the production side is my guess.

as for the design influence, I would have to say the At-om by a nose, close though.

It's sounds like you're describing something a little like what I built, only front engine, front drive.

Neat design masanski, and the other designs and concepts too.

So many great ideas and possibilities :!:

masanski, do you have any body drawings or sketches, or are you going for the "naked" car look? Your round frame design is most unusual. I have not seen anything like it before.

conceptzrqt, I have gone through all your albums and am very impressed with your projects. Certainly is nice to see pictures of a project that is getting done instead of reading about projects that are stillborn. Anything new on your commuter?

Why thank you!

As far as body work goes, below is the "full bodywork" plan.

But I think I'll be going for the naked look (or at least minimal body) for now to get it titled sooner.

And here's a video to show you that it goes, and it changed a little too.

I really like the idea of the engine mounted in tandem with the driver for balance reasons.
