Your carbon work is impressive! Keep up the awesome work.

Might want to look into laying down some 3k or 6k unitape over the seams(put the tape down first) or folding the material together and laying it down for a cleaner seam.

Where the two carbon patterns make a v? That's was just because I ran out of carbon... so i patched it. The actual part won't have that.

You can build the most awesome thing in the world but at some point, an 80yr old man in a crx is probably going kick your butt on the track... don't ask me how I know.

Very nice work, you are not afraid of the road less traveled! (carbonfiber, custom uprights...) It is nice to see a middy this lite, from what I've seen most come in at 1500#. Thanks for posting.

made some progress on the scoop. I was suppose to take her down tomorrow to be tunned but some things came up and it looks like it might be the end of June before i can get her in. :BH:

Scoop is done so I started working on some advanced wind tunnel testing....

I may need to add some sort of a break in the scoop to better distribute the air but regardless, the scoop works really well

Now all you need is a giant motorcycle lift so you don't wreck your back cleaning that thing!

Man I feel you on that!! Maybe if I make lots of covers then I won't have much too clean!!

On that note, I feel like there should be an engine cover buts lots say to keep the engine exposed. What do you guys think?

Car is back! The shop said it runs really well but i actually have not started it up (clutch hose is leaking) but i plan on doing so later today. They were able to also install the PLX AIT sensor so that i can look at the temp at the intercooler. Also it looks like there was a leak from the front seal (maybe i installed it wrong) but they replaced that so its all good. I'm really excited to driver her!! Unless it ends up being like the last two times where it blew in a day.

I asked them to do a very modest tune so its just running off wastegate pressure (7psi) because I want to put some miles on her first before turning her way up. 225whp is plenty in this car anyway for the time being.

That's an impressively-flat torque curve. You might try adjusting the VTEC switch-over point because that dip seems a bit sharp. Try moving it up or down 500 rpm and see if it can be further minimized. Reason I bring it up is because if you hit that mid-corner it could unsettle the car.

Apparenly that dip is from tire spin on the dyno. Vtech wont even activate until around 5k.

The last dyno also had a very flat torque curve which is why so many circuit racers use it.

This is also the initial break in tune so I don't have any real need to start changing stuff just yet... and I don't own a dyno so it will be a shot in the dark to some extent. On the next tune, we will tune with e85 (I plan on installing a ethanol content sensor) and turn the boost up.

I really want to get some data and put some miles on her before going much further.

Yeah I totally understand. I blew up my turbo K24 engine on-track and a year later am still gun-shy about driving its replacement hard.

Mid corner, he's also probably running only part throttle.

Yes, smooth torque curve is still grossly desired however.
