The starter motor on my old Miata failed to turn over last month, and the lump is now taking up space in my garage in Sacramento (Carmichael). Before I turn it over to Kars4Kids or similar operation, I thought I'd give someone here a chance to drag it away. Even free, it may not be a bargain. I drove it regularly until last month, but it burned/leaked a lot of oil so I know the engine is on its last legs. Everything else is okay, although the bodywork has seen better days. If I were going to build another Locost this would be my donor, but I would still want to rebuild, or at least refresh, the engine (190K miles on it). PM me if interested.

Well I kind of wish I lived closer. My wife says we should take a road trip, but I think she was joking.

Missed it! This is what I get for going a week without my LocostUSA fix.

That was very generous of you, Nick. Shoot, along with Jack, I totally missed this one too. It would have given me a sports car to drive while I'm finishing my build. My wife's been after me to sell my old 4x4 as we no longer need a "back roads/snow and ice" vehicle for the mountain house we sold. That could have been a motivator for me. Next time, eh?

Cheers,

Damn! That front slip angle is way too large and the Ackerman is just a muddle.
