Its been a minute since I could work on the car. Money has been tight, I am sure for a lot of folks.

I did manage to get the brake lines ran and terminated.

I also had to make a hose adapter to go from 1.5 inches down to 1.25. I could not find such an animal in the wild so I had to make one.

wow, two updates in one year.... Im on a roll!!!!

Anyway, I had to redo the water neck/thermostat housing one, to keep the hose under the hood, two to match the hose diameter with the rad.

So I decided to make an adapter plate that would allow me to bolt on a junk yard find to the intake and clock it to where I needed it.

Make that 3, today was a two project day.
I needed to reclock the belt tensioner that I had. I needed to get the pin to a new location so that it would tension the belt the right way.

I decided to do this by making a delrin insert that would fit into the casting of the base plate that would give me a solid support for the locating pin.

So I took a straight down picture of the casting, used it in my CAD software to trace a basic outline to get me close. Did a profile toolpath on the CNC router in Delrin.
Hand worked the cutout until it fit into the casting, due to features I couldnt cad and draft angles of the casting.
Then cut a notch into the delrin for the pin. The forces from the spring tension pushes the pin into the meat of the plastic and not towards the bolt.

Here is to hoping I did all my meths, I mean maths right.

A bit more work on the thermostat housing, getting it to fit in the space I have.
Also fabed up the new coil mount.

Working on a idler pulley for the belt system now and then to work on the heater hose bypass

just checking boxes off the list.

You might want to consider moving the coil a little farther away from the header pipe. Cooler air Vs radiant heat from the header, would be a safer bet. Dave W

seeing as how it used to sit right above the manifold, I figured that it would be safe after wrapping the pipes. I can move it anywhere on the bell housing if need be. Or anywhere else for that matter.

Had to make a stand off of an belt pulley and trim down my backing plate I made a while back. Once this is on the car I can go hunting for a belt.

Descided to finally do some clean up on that 390 cfm holley I got a while back.
Went to harbor fright and got a $20 gravity fed sand blasting gun. As soon as it came out of the box it got torn down and the hopper feed hole got drilled out to 1/4 inch. Same with the gun body. I drilled out the valve hole to 15/64th. Now it should work.

Spent the day in the driveway wasting baking soda but got the housings cleaned up fairly well. Was not able to be at the cars location to work on it, but at least I am getting work done for it.

That's impressive design & work on the pulley setup.
