Little freebie for you guys who are on the locost mission. This was made with two hole saws, a drill bit and a cordless drill. It is made from a hockey puck. Each puck will make two 1 1/2" bushings (one for each side). Enjoy. https://ibb.co/c7PFo7

Try these guys for cheap bushings. Hardly worth the effort to make them yourself at these prices.

I have heard of them being used for stationary mount 'bushings', but never really thought about them for rotating bushings before. Off hand though, I don't recall ever seeing anything that would indicate a hockey puck as being a particularly good suspension bushing material.

It shows $2.59 each today, but that's still a lot cheaper than I could make them, and there's places where rubber suspension bushings beat rod ends (and not just at the cash register). Does anybody have the dimensions of these bushings? I couldn't find any on that web site.

GRM did an article on hockey puck bushings and found they weren't up to the job & the wrong durometer

They are actually 90 durometer which is slightly stiffer than most poly bushings. The fact that many people use solid rod ends kinda puts that into perspective.
