SOLD-I have the motor and parts from my ZX14 Locost build that needs a new home. It's a 2006 motor that runs perfect. It's already been adapted for mounting a Lotus 7 type chassis with motor mounts and brackets. It comes with 2 big bins crammed full of parts including wiring harnesses, hardware, Power Commander, gear indicator, and extra covers, gaskets, and plumbing.

Everything is boxed, on a pallet, and ready to ship. I'm happy to drive it to a freight depot of your choice in Syracuse, NY, or we can meet up anywhere within a couple hour drive.

If your considering building a BEC or want a bigger motor in your Locost, this is a deal you can't pass up!

P.S.
I've also got a 2 part drive shaft that was custom made for this motor.......

Do you know how wide, long and tall this is? It would be a perfect fit for a spitfire I am working on. I’d like to know if it will come close to fitting in between the frame rails.

The motor is just about 18" square. It's taller than that, and of course leans forward (or to the left in a rearwheel drive car) but the footprint is a box thats 18'' square.

Drop me a line on via email or PM and I can send over more pictures.

H.P, Torque, exhaust header?
Wondering about this for a LHD TR4 chassis project since I do not have a TR engine to use.
Looks like exhaust would go on the left, so some concern with clearing the steering.
Weight for shipping?

Seems quite reasonable. Did you ever have any oiling issues with the motor? I thought they were one that needed a dry sump.

Hey guys, thanks for the questions. It looks like I've got it sold locally, but if it falls through I'll be sure to let you know.

The exhaust does indeed come out the left side of the motor when powering a rear wheeled driven vehicle. It can be a issue threading the steering shaft past the motor. The best way appears to go under the exhaust header.

Oiling for motorcycle engines in a car is always a problem. The 2 solutions are either an external sump system, or a drag racing oil pan with a swiveling pick up. I choose the later.
