Locost_JohnH: That was one of two stories I was thinking of, just forgot were I read it.

It takes one or two times for your spinal cord / muscle memory to learn it, then you don't get caught unawares... Having your hood ripped off, is probably about as bad as having your Mom remind you for years and years. But the Mom story is funnier :D

NEVERMIND. Just found it on Mcmaster. I am thinking about getting 4 of these also to hold on the hood. What do people think about them?

My rear cover is a fiberglass lay up. My original latches were not very secure. Saw these and thought they were just the ticket. Bought a pair China. When they finally arrived I must say I was very impressed. The latch very securely, look good, and appear very well made. Ebay prices are all over from $4 each to around $10 each. Domestic shops like Summit are pricing these out around $26 each. In my opinion the wait (I wasn't in a hurry, it was cold in the garage) was worth the $20+ difference.
