What are you guys using for seat belts, preferably 4 point. (I'm thinking about doing a couple track days at Road America, they just opened up for them) So I want to take out my cheap lap belts and I had a set of camlock, sent them back to the company because they were too long, I think they lost them. They said they could shorten them. I'm fearing I have to start over with this. They were draw down type and I could never draw them enough without hitting the tunnel and side of the car. So go with draw up style? While its still winter I have to weld in attachments for the shoulder part. Idk what to be looking at. Thanks guys!

I had a generic set of cam lock 5-point belts at the beginning. I didn't like the damage that 4-points can do to the human body. While those belts did the job well, getting in and out with 2 people required a sequential effort. First one, then the other. Then I could not reach the dash controls when strapped in tightly. In addition, the loose end of the adjustable shoulder belt was always flapping around my face. The same sequential process was required for getting out of the car. I switched to 3-point retractable belts (New Hummer surplus on ebay) and never looked back. Of course, mine was a street car. If it were only a track car, the 5-point belts would have been kept. YMMV

I should have done this in the first place. Now to make a couple spacers. They look better, there 50% less weight and now I won’t trap rocks. Can’t scratch the new paint coming.

IRS is over rated. I’ll tell you what those bars are a conversation piece. People dig them. All they do is give the rear end articulate a little more. I like doing things twice. Had I know the first bars were going to be rock catchers.

I really like my lap belts because their really easy, but the responsible thing I figured is the have a regular harness. I don’t have structure available for a 5 point anchorment.

So the new rear is in and test driven. She does a donut no problem. It rides good and steers beyond words. I took the slop out of the shaft, installed my new Sweet Manuf. quick disconnect which is awesome. Finally after 2 yrs got my brakes bled. You know that hump the flex brake line makes going out to the caliper? YA! Pull that down and they bleed out fast. Took me 2 flipp’n years to figure that out, WT*. So now that the new 1/2” master is in I may not have needed to change it, :BH: . IDK it stops better than last year but still no lock’em up. Later this month we should be doing paint. In the mean time I need to drive this thing. We need warmer weather.

Stay safe gents!!

I just bled my clutch last night and finished connecting the brake lines this morning. Bleeding them is next on the list. Curious though, pedal effort wouldn't force the air through the elevation difference in the flex line and out the bleeder? Seems strange.

Have you tried pressure bleeding?

Had to go back to page 15 again to see. You have a huge loop air pocket to fill by running the line straight up. Loosen the fitting at the top until it leaks, open the bleeder until it leaks, then bleed. A pressure bleeder on the res or vacuum on the slave bleeder would help. I always vac bleed with a hand pump and jar.

So has your clutch master ever had fluid in it before?
