Can you please elaborate on your intention here? Are you looking for somebody to basically become a supplier to Kinetic Vehicles for the Locost stuff or, despite what was publicly said from both side when Kinetic Vehicles was sold to you, are you stripping Kinetic Vehicles for the name and ditching the entire reason for the company's existence in the first place?

I am sympathetic to the above questions. I designed a mid-engine "Seven" that specifies using the Kinetic catfish nose piece. I, too, wonder what's to become of that supply path, as in: Is it be outsourced, or being handed off for good?

I am not stopping production or doing away with any of the molds or products.

I have expanded Kinetic Vehicles beyond the locost parts, they are a small part of sales now.

If someone passionate about the Locost would like to take over the production of the Locost parts, I would be willing to work with them. My fiberglass guy is 2.5 hours away, getting time to drive there to drop off molds and pick up parts is a full day activity.

This confuses me because in your first post you say:

I will sell them, not destroy or junk them. I will continue to make parts that people need. Nothing is changing. Maybe you could buy the molds and take over production?

There are some experts here that could do a much better job than I can.

Does that make sense?

I'm confused as well. For $6,000, what does the buyer get? Does the buyer become your new supplier for locost parts? If the buyer gets the molds, can they create a webstore, and sell directly?

Unfortunately, I'm not in the position right now to take on more projects. I was just trying to clarify what was included in the sale.

My fiberglass guy is closing. I can not find one in a reasonable driving distance.

What I have left in stock will be all that is available until I find a new person to make the parts.

Ryan, Hope the business is growing for you.
Regarding the Locost fiberglass moulds and parts in stock, what do you have, and what are your thoughts at this point ? Do you have the molds that Curtis & Co. used ? Do you have molds for the clamshell front wings in standard and extra wide ? Do you have Steamroller rear wings, flanges, the two different widths dashboard cowl, two or three variations of the nose one ? The Lola replica “Laylow” body ? Anything else ? I’m not sure everyone understands just how much one would acquire if they were to take over that supply service for you, or separately from you. Aren’t you located in Idaho or MT ?
Obviously, remaining connected with the historical Kinetic Vehicles would maintain a sensible path for parts buyers. Just thought I’d kick the can, there is a good opportunity here for you and for some other talented enthusiast.
