Hello everyone, its been quite a while, Car sat on the backburner though Ive never for a moment considered giving up.

In the meantime I've accumulated parts to finally get the drivetrain back to where we were with the 1uz years ago. Fettled around with the frame bracing in the engine bay. But got hung up on where the Alternator would mount, the stock 2jz location on the passenger side intersected with the suspension beam. The inline 6 being quite a bit longer there was absolutely no room, mulled over redesigning the suspension as im not at all happy with it all these years later, but thats more 2 steps back then 3 forward. Eventually a fresh set of eyes found a new location on the driverside above the steering rack, turns out the powers steering mount tab on the engine block has the same spacing! With that sorted some life was breathed back into the project.

Went back to a Megasquirt standalone ecu, this time and ms3pro Mini. Wired into the stock is300 harness with Deutsche Connectors then delumed the original harness and tucked everything away after an initial test. Significantly less hassle this time around making the ecu talk to all the sensors, perhaps experience or better hardware. Remote oil filter is made up, headers installed with wastegate, drilling the sump for turbo drain and mounted feed lines, new intake/TB, made the old 1uz engine mount locations work.

Parts are on order to finish the wiring on the body side, fuse/relay everything with interior switches. Plumb the intake, run a cooling system, and do a bolt check. At that point its ready for a test drive. When it moves under its own power ill get around to finishing the body.

Heres a quick video of the 2jz Coming to life for the first time!

Managed to blow the t56 TOB just about as soon as the clutch was bled, naturally.

Pulled the motor, tore it down to find that chunk missing from the shaft seal. I didn't realize these t56 style TOB's need to be measured and potentially shimmer. Turns out i was over 10mm out of spec with this adapter plate, 2jz bellhousing, custom flywheel, and 350z clutch.

Created this shim, A friend of mine helped reinstall the motor, VERY cautious about rebleeding the clutch until there's a pedal stop. A week's delay but the cars driven under its own power! Lots more to do but an exciting step.

Driving under it's own power is a hell of a milestone! Congratulations, looking forward to seeing this completed.

Worked on plumbing the intake thoroughly with a mandrel tube off of the turbo instead of my quick 45°. Wastegate is attached, BOV still needs attention. The exhaust is rerouted (finished) to actually exit outside now, just waiting on a 3.25" Vband which is taking the scenic route from China.

Happy with the packaging. Next is finally creating the fuel tank mounts, at which point the cars pretty well safe to start testing, maybe the local autocross if I rustle up some new tires by next month.
