Hay guys i just wanted to put a build thread up on the USA site even tho im building in the UK. I will update this every week and will try and answer any questions. If its not ok feel free for a admin to delete the thread :D

Anyhow im building a skyline engined locost. I recently had my Nissan Stagea RSFour (Skyline waggon with Atessa 4x4 but the 2.5 engine) written off so decided to use the engine and as many bits from it as i could but in a rwd format. Its quite cool as i dont think anyone has been mad enough to do it yet :D
Here are a few pics.

Will be fabbing up the gtr plenum onto the stock one to give less engine height.
Image
The engine bay has a +5.5 stretch over the original haynes size.
Image
Found a rb25 bellhousing that had a 200sx s14 gearbox. This saves me lots of space compared to the huge skyline box's.
Image
2nd hand front hubs, 300miles old includes pads, discs, mushroom insert, upright, caliper and ball joints for £60!!

Removed it from the workbench to sand it down and remove lumps and bumps. Now working on the rear suspension framework.
Still loads of work to do but hay! Will keep you guys updated

You are on page five, after all the stickied threads. Once an admin sees your thread they will likely sticky it so it moves up with the rest of the builds. They do it that way to keep the non-build threads and dead threads at the back and the active builds up front. You can PM a moderator and ask for a sticky cause sometimes they don't seem them back here for a while.

Stickied. ;)

Nice looking start to the build. I really like the wheels.

Did you have to do anything to get the I6 into the frame?

yeah the engine bay has an extra 5.5inches in length + the haynes 2inches so it makes the car a +7.5 i think over the standard book. The rear is all by the haynes book and the front frame all the rest is redesigned heh.

The wheels are very rare 3pc enkei split rims 17inch cant cant remember how wide... 1 sec ok allmost 9 inches wide. The problem is they are 5x 117.5 compared to my donor 4x100 so will be using the donor stuff then reworking the hubs after i have passed the IVA test and its on the road.

Has the engine already been test-fitted? It doesn't look like there's much room.

Looks like she'll be able to smoke when it's done. Nice work.

Except, I think you're sitting in the passenger seat, aren't you?

hey nice to see someone else doing a nissan haynes build,i will add pictures as soon as i can work out how to make them smaller and fit on here ..im in phoenix ,ive been here 7 years and i came from new zealand,i also lived in dorking surrey in 2002 for a while ,my brother ownes a stagea wagon with a rb25det in it with some massive turbo putting 550hp to the wheels,he put a gtrskyline box in it so its manual,im building a haynes car and i have fitted an 07 vq35hr and 6 speed out of a 350z,i have also fitted the viscous lsd that came in the car,and i have only modifeid the frame where the diff bolts in and had to widen the tranny tunnel at the front 2 inches either side,my reasoning for using this driveline combo is that its 100pounds or 50kgs lighter than a 2l pinto and puts out 306bhp stock,it has twin throttle bodies and revs to 7500,and i paid $1500 for the rolledover car with 48000 on the clock, thats cheap hp i say.
